Mansour estimates his oil could bring about NIS 64,000 if he finishes the harvest before trouble starts. The Civil Administration's 2026 map lists 737 plots where coordination is required or Israelis are barred, over 70 more than last year, and says more than 100,000 families rely on olives.
In the harvest's first days, Israeli forces turned owners away from their land in Deir Istiya, Farkha, Haris, az-Zawiya and Silwan, confiscating ID cards and sometimes tools, according to WAFA. In Beita the army halted a harvest after settlers arrived, the fourth such shutdown that weekend per Haaretz. Settlers took olives, ladders and tarps in Sinjil, where resident Ayed Jafry says thefts are near-daily.
